One of the staples of scrapbooking (besides cardstock and adhesive!) is patterned paper. And chances are, you have a lot of it in your stash! KI Memories makes some of my favorite patterned paper - stripes, polka dots, plaids, and florals that are vibrant and versatile. And I love to mix them on all on a page! It's a great way to use several pieces from my stash, and create a fun and interesting layout like this:
To keep things from getting too busy, I like to select patterned papers from the same color family. On this page, I used papers featuring various shades of blue and aqua. I created this photo matte by first punching 20 circles from scrap cardstock using a 1.5" punch. I lined them up in a grid and used them as masks, spraying blue ink over them. Then I filled each circle with patterned paper, punched with a slightly smaller (1.25") circle punch.
So how many KI patterned papers can you incorporate on a layout? We'd love to see links to your creations! Happy Scrapping!
