We hung out at home for a little while (first day hubby's had off work for a LONG time) and then went to my parents house to swim and cookout. All in all, a perfect day!! And the bonus was that both kids slept til 8:30 this morning. Yay!

We went to our local fireworks, which were HUGE because it was a Centennial celebration of the town's incorporation...it was great fun! =)

Per our two year old daughter who makes ALL the plans in our house...as dictated to Nana and Papa on the phone in a very excited voice: we're going to the 'beach' (our sandbox), svimming vith pishies (apparently she's swedish with the accent - oh and that means in our pool), drawerin' on the road (using sidewalk chalk), riding bikes (exactly what it means), ICE CREAM (screamed with eyebrows raised), watch sparklies (fireworks), play ball (again, exactly what it means) and OH...naptime (said REAL quiet with a sad little face and head down)...she's quite the character...and that's exactly what we did this weekend....according to Gabrielle.
