We are sorry for the delay in opening our shop :(
Right before Christmas, our bank notified us of a security breach that affected our account. We had to close it immediately and open a new one. Needless to say, this created some administrative headaches, especially with the holidays and bank being closed a few days between Christmas and New Year's! We are still waiting on a couple of items to be re-instated, so unfortunately, the new store cannot be opened until everything is operational again. I expect it to open this week, fingers crossed!!
Thank you for your patience & Happy New Year everyone!

Hi KI Fans!
We'd like to make the following announcements.
1) Holly Lane & Good Folk. We ultimately decided not to go into production on these lines. As samples began rolling in, we were unhappy with the product quality from the factories. Unfortunately, due to the seasonal nature of the collections, the timing to source other factories did not work out. We are deeply disappointed about the turn of events and are truly sorry for any inconvenience and/or disappointment caused to our customers as a result. (Holly Lane will be available in digital form, see note 3).
2) Our website and ShopKI are currently in re-development. We've chosen to maintain our blog as our sole web presence for the time being. This said, we do expect to have a new shop opening next week! Products offered will be limited to a few digital goods for now, and physical products will be added as soon as possible.
3) Digital Content. We WILL be selling the Holly Lane products in DIGITAL form next week in our new shop! We are hard at work getting our new store up and running with these kits. As soon as they are ready for purchase, we'll shout it from the rooftops!! The Holly Lane papers and embellishments will be available in digital form, plus some other (never-before-seen) goodies just in time for Christmas! These will be offered for a LIMITED TIME ONLY so grab them while you can, before new items replace them...
Most importantly, thank you for your support. We are looking forward to 2012 and all the exciting things we have to share with you!!

Happy Saturday ~ For today's Silhouette Saturday feature, I'm showing the "end" result of my 2012 Goal Notebook from last Saturday. The feature was to highlight the KI Memories divider tabs sold in the Silhouette store. This weekend, I'm simply showing how I chose to finish out this mini binder so it's ready to go for next year. As you can see, my intention is to use it for focusing on my *creative* goals for 2012.
As a BONUS for our blog readers, I've included a printable PDF of the inside pages I designed as a FREE DOWNLOAD for you! The calendar isn't dated, so you can print it as many times as you like, and fill in the month / days to your liking. Note that these pages are sized to fit the small patterned Russell+Hazel binder I am using. Page size: 8.375" tall x 6.375" wide, with a 5/8" margin on the left for hole punching. Print on letter size paper & trim out the page at the crop marks. *FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY* Download Goals 2012_Inserts
• Front cover: I painted a loose oval in pink acrylic paint. I sponged it on so the edges were soft instead of having a lot of brush strokes. This binder is also really glossy so I had to paint on several layers to get it to stick and cover up the pattern underneath (still shows a little but I like that). I spray painted a little gold paint onto the pink, then I painted on a layer of Mod Podge to seal the acrylic - which was still a little damp - so it did pull a little of the pink paint off & I liked that effect. With the Mod Podge still wet, I placed my Silhouette cut-out word "goals" onto the area. When the Mod Podge dried, it was stuck down. Finally, I added a Dymo title, some new KI Memories lace tape (from Hot Date Collection), a rhinestone, and I doodled the scallop border using a black Sharpie marker.
• The "goals" word is a new shape we will add to the Silhouette store next week, along with other handwritten items! I cut it from KI Memories white glitter cardstock. I turned the paper glitter side down on the cutting mat, used my red blade, reversed the word horizontally & double-cut. (I'm currently using the Silhouette SD but will be changing to the Cameo as soon as I have it set up in the studio.)
• On the inside cover, I added a textured envelope, punched the border & threaded bakers' twine through. Also used some (ancient & discontinued) KI Memories acrylic Bubbles. Highlighted the letter K with the small pink bubble, then used a large clear one over it.
• I printed out the inner sheets for my book, trimmed and hole-punched. On the calendar sheet, there is a blank space for a photo, doodle, a quote or whatever you want to add, so have fun with it! I won't add to this until the new year begins & will do something special there at the beginning of each month.
• The Goals page and Rewards page are open so you can fill them in however you like. Structured and neat, or creatively collaged. Be sure to set rewards for meeting your goals for the month!
• For the number labels, I printed these on solid colored cardstock instead of white paper, and I like the punch of color these added to the black & white paper insert pages.
So that's it! I hope you have found this project inspiring. Feel free to post here if you make a project with the divider tabs, we would love to see what you do with them. And if you are new to the Silhouette machine, don't be afraid to get started using it! Once you've got it down, you'll start finding excuses to cut stuff with it!
Enjoy!

Happy Saturday! For today's Silhouette Saturday feature, I'm using the Divider Tabs by KI Memories available in the Silhouette Online Store. When cut with the Silhouette machine, the tabs are so versatile because you can resize them and use them for so many projects. The month label on each tab is actually cut out so you can see through the letters...cool effect!
I wanted to use this cute little notebook from Russell+Hazel that I've had forever, I just hadn't found the right purpose for it yet. Well now I've got it...I decided to turn it into a colorful and sassy 2012 goal notebook:
I'm still in the process of completing my book, and will post the finished project next Saturday - but here's a peek at it so far:
I découpaged the inside with a *vintage* ki memories paper (type). Used a ki memories transparency for my bookmark (cut to size) and added the tulle flower, ribbon and epoxy charm on the top, so it sticks out above the top of my book. The transparency comes with the jewels already attached and is available at Michael's.
Thanks for joining me today & have a wonderful weekend!
Open the divider tabs shape in Silhouette. Make sure to measure your notebook carefully so you size the divider correctly (lock aspect ratio on size if you need to change the size, so it adjusts proportionately). After you resize all the tabs to the desired size, line them up on the cutting area so they are all on top of each other. This is to do one last check and make sure all tabs match. Then move all but one tab OFF the cutting area & cut your tabs, one at a time. Insert them into the notebook. Decorate the notebook and dividers as desired, and add pages to your book.

Happy Saturday! We hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and of course had a happy shopping experience yesterday! Today for our Silhouette Saturday feature we are playing with the Thanks Frame by KI Memories available in the Silhouette Online Store. I cut the frame out of KI's Glitter Cardstock. Simply cut on the reverse side (don't forget to mirror your image before you cut!) of the Glitter Cardstock and select to Double Cut. Mat the photo with the frame and place on a card cut to size. Add a Puffie and a tag caption and you have an adorable personalized thank you card to send! Who wouldn't love to get this in the mail?!

With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays don't forget to stop and get a family photo. Mommas...hand the camera off to someone else and get in the shot! When you are 80 looking back at your photos you won't notice the extra 5 pounds...or that you weren't having a good hair day...you'll just remember how happy you were that day.
This layout by Jessi Stringham is from the KI Idea Book....another layout that has stood the test of 'design time' thanks to fantastic products and a great design!
